Video Camera
What are the benefits of having a video camera for use in the classroom?

I teach first grade at a rural school in Alabama. Want to buy a video camera so you can record experiments, plays, and learning that takes place in classrooms. The recordings are transferred to the website school for the community to see or a DVD for students and parents to enjoy. I have to write a grant proposal to get the camera. What are other benefits of having a video camera for use in the classroom? Thank you!

Repeated actions and views to show growth. Invite officials local communities and leaders to talk with the children and record it. Use this as a model for students to develop a discourse minutes on a topic. Record it. Show back to them. The possibilities are endless. For science simply different environments and film students to make observations, compare / contrast. Although all teachers have been built with-it-ness, things still go unnoticed. You will be able to evaluate students much time after time he has already played out. Also, you will improve by criticism of himself and bringing to their students. Good Luck!
