Stained Glass
How do I create a scene from the window glass, etc?

I am completely new to the world of stained glass. I would like to learn more about it, what kind of tools you need and how to do it, and so on, but I'm not even sure where to start.

For real glass, there specialty stores that sell glass sheets that can be cut. You need a pair of safety glasses to protect your eyes, call a tool for cutting glass scorer the forms they need, a pair of pliers to break the glass when you recorded it, strips of metal placed between pieces of glass (often leading as I recall), Sauter tools for the corners together, and as a reminder of hydrochloric acid to keep everything clean. You probably want a large work surface. A table comes at a comfortable height to work while standing, covered for their security tends to work better (I used remnants of the industry) carpets. Start with simple and / or broader patterns. (Larger pieces are easier to cut small parts that are complex.) I also recommend working with simple glass to start with the most well, both by cost considerations and because some types of glass are difficult to cut. I think the hardest thing I found was cutting a small circle of mirrors. It is very difficult to break without damaging the mirror. You can get pattern books in the stores of the windows, there is software to help to design yourself, you can design by committee, or you can look to companies like Dover, the source of public domain works. Find people working in glass shops is a wonderful asset. I've never been in a store that does not jump at the chance to help a new person in the art. You could even visit one only to look around and get an idea of costs and the environment before deciding if you are ready to begin. They are usually happy to answer any questions that arise.

Stained glass project resparked LEXINGTON – The sanctuary of Grace Lutheran Church in Lexington is dancing with color from six new stained glass windows.
